The North Node

The Node is the angle of the moon's orbit as it crosses the Earth's ecliptic. It is not a planet but an angle. They show our social instincts and social reactions, spiritually they show our destiny, fate, karma, and past lives or experiences. The north moon-node is considered to be Jupiter-like.

Many see this as the point the soul is aiming at and for self-realization in life. It indicates the lessons to be learned in life, as a result of Karma from former lifetimes. It is also expressed as the Angel on one's shoulder and indicates a path for future development of what is to come. It shows social skills and social ineptness, whether we are sociable or shy.

A positive North Node shows a positive person destined to do positive things, is socially capable and will probably have positive experiences in life. A negative North Node shows someone less capable socially and likely to experience less joy in life due to shyness.
